A year ago..i was planning to go on this trip wherein i will backpack in an amazing place where nobody knows and care about me.i remember posting on my facebook status that i will backpack visayas..and after a year here i am..in the mystical island of boracay..my fifth day of my own version of my "backpacking western visayas". I have been always a fan of mr. James betia of journeyingjames.com. i admire his travel mantra.like him i always like to think of myself as a "go with the flow" adventurer ,and this trip/travel mission would officially seal the deal for me. This is it!!my 8 day backpacking across western visayas.i really don't have a concrete plan for this.i did a little bit of research..i really hate researching for this trip coz it really gets me all oh so excited that its not funny anymore.my plan is to just to set my foot on bacolod, which is my initial destination and just see where my two feet take me. My work people ,who were orinally from my places of destination, were really very supportive.they took the time to make calls just to help me.I was happy about that but this is supposed to be an adventure without any arrangement whatsover.Just To be polite,i agreed but things unexpectedly turned around. I lost my cellphone on my first day to bacolod on my way to dumaguete. I was out of touch until today.my only communication to them were comments from my facebook account.
So far the trip was really a blast.i remember smiling alone on the bus on my way to mambukal, murcia.I was just overwhelmed by the fact that i am already here after months of anticipation...i am here setting my eyes on the majestic mount kanlaon..the feeling was heart wrenching...ive been dreaming of this for years and it finally came to reality.there was one particular moment that i remember, it was in jaro iloilo ,i was waiting on this empty bus terminal going to boracay,i was very tired and my eyes were shutting down from tiredness , sleep deprivation and full on death march. I looked up into the sky..it was clear... full of stars. That was the moment i realized that i am very lucky to be doing this kind of stuff.i was overwhelmed...thankful and feeling blessed...and after that moment..as the saying goes..the rest is history!

The Banawe and Sagada Expedition Part 1
It's been awhile since a post has been made in this pretend-travel blog of mine.I really missed writing but as always, time has been elusive.I'm back on my feet again (i think), so it's time for another entry. My post this time is going to be my enchanting journey to the Mountain Province... Banaue and Sagada specifically. The trip has been heavenly, literally. There were clouds all over the place. Beautiful, picturesque sceneries for your own eyes to feast.
I have been trying to plan this trip a few times before the actual trip, so it was really a blessing that the trip has been successful and kick-as$.

what's next??
It's been quite awhile since my last travel adventure.I think it was 3 or 4 months ago.Today i am thinking of El Nido, Sagada and Calaguas Island!Hopefully, before this year ends, i'll get to visit atleast one.
Conquering Bicolandia And Caramoan!!!!
Caramoan With The Survivors |
I just got back from my trip to caramoan last week.and all i can say is that...it was a bittersweet experience for me..bitter in terms of the travel time...sweet because of the beauty of the place we visited. Our adventure was mostly sweet. We got to experience the paradise of Caramoan and the majestic Mayon Volcano. All in all, our trip from Pasay to Caramoan turned out to be a whopping 14 hours because of some unexpected occurence.Upon arriving at sabang port we took a boat that will bring us to caramoan. I think we left at exactly 8am.After 30 minutes on water, the boat seems to be having some "Low Bat" moments and there we were...in the middle of the sea with gigantic waves..stranded!
Anawangin, Surprisingly Nice!
